Program and Research Manager

Description

The Ramon V. del Rosario, Sr. – C.V. Starr Center for Corporate Responsibility of the Asian Institute of Management aims to promote corporate responsibility and good corporate governance practices of private and public companies in the region. The Program and Research Manager shall assist the Executive Director in developing the Center’s research and program agenda by managing and overseeing the implementation of its activities.

Education

  • Master’s degree in social sciences, development studies, public administration and/or business administration.

Minimum Experience

  • At least 3 years of relevant experience. A PhD candidacy or candidates with experience in forum/event coordination is highly desirable. 
  1. In the overall strategic development of the Center’s relevant research and program agenda on corporate responsibility, support the Executive Director by:
    • Coordinating the objective-setting, planning, and budgeting process of the Center;
    • Designing and implementing innovative strategies (around services, processes, tools and techniques) and policies for efficient resource mobilization and delivery.
  2. With the Center’s research agenda goals:
    • Assist in securing external funding by monitoring funding opportunities and writing research proposals (including review of related literature);
    • Support the Executive Director and supervise project personnel of the Center on research-related activities including data gathering and report generation as required by research funders;
    • Liaise with the Institute’s administrative staff for financial, logistical, and safety/security requirements for research-related activities;
    • Coordinate communication between the Center and consultants/other external parties for implementing research work;
    • Secure written consent and/or agreements from the Center’s partners, fellows, or third-party individuals for participation or partnership in research and programs; and
    • Ensure compliance to intellectual property regulations on the Center’s research work.
  3. In line with the Center’s program agenda goals:
    • Lead the implementation of a monitoring and evaluation mechanism and impact assessment framework including development and social change indicators to deepen program interventions; and
    • Forge and maintain strategic partnerships with local and international organizations, corporations, and academic institutions of both private and public nature.
  4. To ensure the continuing efficiency and visibility of Center’s operations and administrative processes:
    • Manage partnership development initiatives, advocacy initiatives, and communication initiatives of the Center as a whole (and not particular to specific programs) over various channels/media (both local and international) to engage the Center’s diverse stakeholders and partners (ie. social investors, alumni, academe, AIM);
    • Oversee the implementation of research and program related activities, in accordance with protocols.
  5. Coordinate preparations and actual implementation of Board of Advisers meetings (center) and Board of Trustees meetings (AIM and AIM-SRF), with support of the Center Program Associate.
  6. Coordinate with both Institute and external partners for the successful development and implementation of the Center’s flagship forum, the Asian Forum on Enterprise for Society.
  7. When necessary, provide an additional layer of feedback and support to the core functional managers in charge of leadership development (training). In particular:
    • Provide feedback on the design, implementation, and revision of new and existing training programs; and
    • Act as resource person/facilitator in the training programs.
